The Hidden valley of Joadja

Between 1870 and 1911 Joadja was a thriving shale mining town and home for 1100 people. Some of the many remains of the old village include School of arts, Carrington Row, Old brick retorts and chimney stacks as well as the railway incline. 1. Existing tourist business centered around a 718 acre historic site located 90 minutes from Sydney, 2 hours from Canberra and 25 minutes from Berrima /Bowral in the N.S. W Southern Highlands.
2. The existing D.A. provides for 100 vehicles per day including coaches and buses. Also 4 special events per year are approved for things like Jazz festivals etc.
3. Existing site buildings to run existing tours are a large 4-bedroom house circa 1870s. A kiosk /restaurant breezeway and BBQ shed with Toilets etc which can accommodate 300 plus tourists a day.
